The Glendale Club held their first rally of the year at Roade, Northampton, the weekend of 18th - 20th January, with 10 motorhomes in attendance.
Members enjoyed a ploughman’s supper on the Saturday evening, to celebrate a member’s birthday and held a table sale on Saturday afternoon in aid of the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. This, together with a hamper raffle and the regular weekend raffle, raised £150.
The theme on Saturday evening was Egyptian, and most of us were dressed accordingly, as we sat down to a meal of curry and rice or jacket potato, sausage and beans, prepared by the ladies of the committee. Music was provided by our chairman’s ‘Boogie Machine Disco’. Despite the cold weather, it was a very enjoyable start to the year.
